Today, we’ll cover the Power X1 from FERNO and just what makes this stretcher stand out to first responders like Trent. FERNO also claims the Power X1 can lift 700 pounds unassisted, so we put them to the test at the end of the video.
A fantastic place to start is the lithium-ion battery technology. This battery delivers 69% more power than other options on the market. This battery can power 113 cycles with a 250lb patient, making mobility a focal point for this device.
Moving to the side of the stretcher, we have a three-stage IV pole that collapses down to the side of the bed when it is out of use. Another notable feature on the side of the cot is the sideboards. These sideboards are sturdy enough to double as a slide board to slide the patient onto a hospital bed with a wide range of motion.
At the foot of the cot are grips that can be depressed to adjust the knee gatch, perfect for patient comfort. The Power X1 stretcher is very clear and organized for strap organization. With pre-defined connection points and color-coded straps, the Power X1 prioritizes speed and efficiency in patient transport.
Two small pouches are attached to the back of the stretcher for holding small medical supplies. On the top of the frame are two handles that can be depressed to adjust the angle of the cot to accommodate patient comfort best.
Below the cot is the adjustable frame that allows for a full range of motion, to assist your on-site response. The Power X1 also comes with a counter to track its number of uses to help with maintenance.
And speaking of counting things… FERNO claims that the Power X1 can lift 700 pounds unassisted. So we decided to test it.
